Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to come to your appointment, you will need to reschedule or cancel 24 hours prior. You receive emails and texts from Square when you book online that have easy to use links for rescheduling. If you no-show or cancel after that time frame, you will be charged 50% of the service cost.
I understand that things pop up, but when you reserve a spot and cancel last minute, I lose out on income and other clients miss out on opportunities. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact through email.
Location - Coralville, IA
Ambivalent Esthetics is located in MySalon Suite Coralville. I chose this location because it is conveniently on 1st Ave and offers opportunities that a small business owner wouldn't typically have access to easily. I like to think of it as apartments for salon business owners. There are several talented professionals that offer a wide range of services such as hair, esthetics, nails, and even tattooing. If you are interested in other services that I dont offer, definitely checkout the MySalon Suite directory.
Arrival Instructions
Parking
Mysalon Suite is located on 1st Ave Coralville. When you turn in to the parking lot, there will be spots with reserved signs that you can park in.
Entrance
From the parking lot, there is an entrance that says "MySalon Suite" with a ButterflyMX Device. This door is unlocked during operation hours. If your appointment is outside of that time frame I will grant you access.
Check In/Contact
Through the MySalon Suite entrance there is a small entryway with 3 chairs and another ButterflyMX device. This door remains locked all hours. You can use the device on the wall to send a message through the directory. If you use the device to call I may not answer because the nature of my job means my phone is on do not disturb 90% of the time. However, I will see the notification and grant you access when I am ready don't worry. If you are a new client, I will grab you from this area. If you are a returning client, I will unlock the door for you to walk to my suite. You will hear a chime when the door unlocks.
Ambivalent Esthetics
When you walk through the 2nd MySalon Suite entrance door, you will turn to the right and follow the curve past 3 bathrooms and a water fountain. My suite is around the curve on the left side and has a sign with Ambivalent Esthetics #205.
Referral Incentive
I love when clients come in and mention your name! When a referral mentions your name at their first appointment, you will receive a discount on your next service. Your support is greatly apreciated and I want to give back in ways that I can. If you know anyone in Iowa City or Coralville IA that is in need of an esthetican send them my way! Incentive may be applied to facial and skincare treatments, as well as waxing sugaring hair removal services.

Client Etiquette
Overall, clients I have seen over the years have been wonderful and respectful. In rare cases, I have had to set boundaries and express concerns for my safety. To prevent future incidents, please be mindful of this etiquette policy.
For the comfortablility of the service provider do not yell, touch, or make unprofessional comments at any time. Hair removal may be unpleasant, but if you feel you can not handle it in a respectful manner, you will be asked to leave and will be charged for the full service amount. Reflexes may happen, try your best to refrain from shoving, hitting or kicking the provider.
If at any point during hair removal, body treatments, or facial services you make a suggestive comment or cross professional boundaries, the treatment provider reserves the right to end the service and block future booking.
Please be respectful and considerate and the service provider will do the same.
